Frequently asked questions.
Is Women’s Circle for me?
Women’s Circle may be for you if you’ve been yearning for a place to rest your spirit—a space where you can set down your burdens and come home to yourself. If you long for meaningful connection, for celebrating the turning of the seasons with sisters by your side, or for being truly seen and heard, Circle offers just that. It’s not about striving or becoming—it’s about remembering your own wholeness, your worth, and the truth that you are never walking this path alone.
Do you offer in-person Circles?
While I continue my search for a suitable location for holding circle, I will only be holding virtual Circles. If you have any suggestions for places where we can gather in the Greater Charleston Area, please send me an email!
What experiences await me in Women’s Circle?
I’m so glad you asked! Each Circle will have a theme or topic to which we will channel our focus. We will begin with a greeting period, allowing our sisters to flow in and settle into the space. After some quick “housekeeping” items such as group agreements, we will move into a journal prompt. We’ll spend some time reflecting on the prompt in our journals, expressing whatever our heart feels called to write down.
After our journaling phase, I will open up the space for a group share. You’re welcome to read directly from your journal writings or speak freely about our topic or anything else you feel moved to share.
What if I don’t feel comfortable sharing?
Don’t worry! I understand how difficult it can be to open up and share the tender parts of your soul, especially with a group of women you may never have met before! Circle participants are not required to share or engage in any way that does not feel good. Even if you’re only listening to the stories of others, I believe you will leave our gathering with something meaningful. Who knows, you may be called to return and inspired to share!
Do I need to have or bring anything with me?
I invite Circle participants to have on hand a few simple items. Water! It’s important to stay hydrated, especially because sometimes our work can provoke an intense release of emotions. Pen and paper! I will have extras on hand when we gather in person, but if you prefer to write in your personal journal, feel free to bring it with you. Any additional comfort items! If you want a little extra cushion or coziness, feel free to bring an extra floor pillow or blanket.
Anything else I should know?
When we gather virtually, please do your best to ensure that you have a quiet space to participate and are unlikely to be interrupted. But hey! Life happens and if you need to step away from your screen/camera, you’re welcome to do so. I would just ask that you mute yourself and turn off your camera until you’re ready to return.
